Samsung Pentile 2560×1600 resolution 10 inch LCDs

Partnering with Nouvoyance, Samsung will have their WQXGA display unveiled at the SID Display Week 2011 International Symposium. This 2560 x 1600 resolution Samsung display will have 300 pixels per inch density, a number that match Retina qualification as Steve Jobs stated last year.

This new Samsung display utilizes RGBW Pentile technology, and expected to be available in the market later this year. Dr. Sungtae Shin, a Senior VP from Samsung Electronics stated that this Samsung Pentile technology operates only need 60 percent power compared to the Full HD-view RGB LCD, but have a doubled performance.
